The way I've seen it I've almost had different generations and periods with amvs:
-Period 4(recent): Megamind (this one I have definately done the most amvs with)
Generation 4: enhanced quality (Like 'Follow Me')
Generation 3: mixed quality (like in 'Rain')
Generation 2: Cam quality (the one I've made most of mine in)
Generation 1: Commercial quality (before the movie was in theaters and before I had internet on my own computer...I was recording commercials off my camera off the tv and the other computer...haha!)
-Period 3: ATHF & Frylock
Only one generation, though this hadn't lasted as long as Megamind, I was definately putting out more videos at a time. Not many were watched though...XD
*Between here there was like a mix of Chipmunks and even Sonic? Idk why..
-Period 2: The Princess & The Frog
Only one generation here again, this was the first official couple I had made amvs with.
-Period 1: Ice Age 3: The Dawn of the Dinosaurs
God that seems so long ago it actually seems as old as the Ice Age. ;P Any way, these were the first amvs I had started experimenting with. Quality wasn't always that great, and I was still figuring out the tricks.
*Pre-Period: I think I had a thing for Hellboy for the longest time? I didn't ever make any amvs with it except I think a collage video and a spore thing...other then that, there wasn't much there.
