Hi Neil, just came across your videos in the past few days. I have to say your methods of conveying the concepts of the game and also your methods of demonstration with actual practical shots are the best I've seen by far.

I would be very interested in how you might convey to us a method for judging how hard to hit a shot? e.g. playing a half ball black how does one provisionally gauge to come of the back rail 6 inches, then maybe 9-12 inches then maybe 2 foot etc...

sent u a comment ...some time back please have a look my game is fine except for the long backswing part .....am left handed and during a very long backswing i tend to twist my wrist towards body and hence shot goes completely off line ....no matter how hard i try am not being able to correct this ...on other shots my wrist or elbow is totally straight and in line ...pls help this is becoming very frustating

i was told to keep the head perpendicular to the table regarding the stance ,,,tht is supposed to be the most important point could u elaborate on that please

Hi Neil,

I have just started playing. I'm a natural right hander in almost everything I do except I seem to have always grabbed a cue in the left hand and put my dominant right hand on the table. If I try to play right handed it obviously feels awkward but I feel the weaker left hand has less ability to deliver the cue consistently. Do you think it would be a good idea to force a switch to right handed and use the stronger arm to control the cue or stick with what is natural and work on the left hand hitting straight?
