Hey man, I have the smae guitar, got it brand new in 1989 from my grandmather. It's a great guitar, better the many real Fenders. If you want your Squier to kill any Fender tonewise change the tuners by Fender locking ones and upgrade pick ups. I can recommend Stan Hinesely karma + lagrange.
