Between 2000 and 2002 I moved to Radom in Poland to work at College teaching English, directing, writing plays, devising performances and meeting just the loveliest people. This is a short documentary I made about my time there, the work I did and the people I met.

The Blind by Maeterlinck. Directed by Neil Smith
This is my final MA Directing piece at Royal Holloway College May 2008
The plot of this little performed play involves a group of blind people who live on an unspecified island. They have been led out on a trip by their 'eyes', and leader, a priest. As the play opens the group awake from a sleep having been abandoned by the Priest who has told them he has gone foraging for supplies.
Unknown to them he has, in fact, died and sits amongst them.
To make the live performance more film friendly I have edited it and composed some music/sound track.
