For nearly 60 years, the National Council on Aging (NCOA) has made improving the lives of older Americans its passion and its mission.

Originally formed in response to concerns about rising health costs and mandatory retirement, NCOA continues to champion issues and create innovative programs that reflect its core values and focus on making life better for older adults, especially those with limited income and resources.

Because of NCOA and its efforts through more than half a century, older Americans are healthier and more fulfilled and are better able to age with dignity, independence and financial security.
About Me:

Founded in 1950, the National Council on Aging (NCOA) is a nonprofit organization with 3,700 members and some 14,000 organizations and individuals form a community of engagement that help us achieve our mission. Our members include senior centers, area agencies on aging, adult day service centers, faith-based service organizations, senior housing facilities, employment services, consumer groups, and leaders from academia, business, and labor.

Our programs help older people remain healthy and independent, find jobs, access benefits programs, and discover meaningful ways to continue contributing to society.

NCOA is a 501(c)3 organization located in Washington, DC.
