The original krithi is in darbari kaanada... From which the pallavi and the last line of the charanam were taken.

Ah yes... that does make sense... Was the original keerthana in Darbari kanada or was it a Ragamalika ? I have heard both versions and is confused as to what it actually was. :)

@sirousrooney - thnx a tonne... The song is based on darbari kaanada. The malayalam portion of the charanam on kharaharapriya (from madhyamam).

Natabhairavi is the Raga right on which this is based right? Quite a way away from the original ragas... Shankarabharanam, Thodi, Kamaas and all.. :)

Mindblowing is an understatement. Chandrachooda has shot up to be one of my most fav songs. Would love to hear more such fusion from you and Anoop's voice increased the charm of an already excellent composition. More of the same please.
