This solo of Cannonball is very great. Better than Coltrane or Parker. Hands down.

I can't blieve some of these negative comments about Hindemith. There is a lot about him not known by many. For instance, it is likely he did not even practice this piece much before recording it. Show me one viola player that can do that, much less even play it this tempo. it is played faster th...

Hindemith is for me one of the greatest composers ever. It takes a little time to understand some of his music, much of which is played by bad musicians (sorry). One great work of his is Herodiade.

Very Very cool work. Hindemith wrote sounds that are really "new" but many do not know this. He in fact wrote many things that are like nothing else ever written, and many of his works are the best of all that has ever been written.
