You guys have inspired me SO much to try some of the haute ecole and such with my mare. I love the bond that you share with your horses, and I would love to have that. Unfortunately, because of a recent riding accident, I was in crutches for a month, which I'm sure set us back in training. Plus the upcoming winter will not be easy. Though we're planning on building our own barn this spring. So perhaps once she's home, we'll make better progress faster. :)

Thanks again for sharing your training tips and such with us! Remarkable work.

"One man practicing sportsmanship is far better than fifty preaching it." Then scratch that idea and think 10X's bigger, now that's what im talking about my friend.

It's great to finally find likeminded people! I've been doing natural dressage ever since I noticed the horses worked much better without my clumsy handling of ropes and whips to interfere. In any case, some of the horses in your videos complain a little with the human's offbalanced movements and occasional invasion of their personal space. They are happy nontheless but i'd suggest people working with horses to put as much effort in their own balance and gymnastic as they ask of their horses. Yoga, tai-chi or any other sport that demands balance and movement precision is a great asset to the human and the horse greatly apreciates it, I know mine sure do, and I'm dying to find the time to start tai-chi myself.

@ EquineEve: Good question about biting, and quite a coincidence as I've just started training a horse who bites. Well, used to bite, because he stopped doing so after a few sessions. ;) The thing is first to make sure that your horse really knows the reward-signal (clicker for example). Then you can add a delta: for example the word 'no' whenever your horse does something you don't want him to do. If he stops doing the wrong thing, you reward him! So with this pony every time he threatened to bite, I said 'no', and whenever he pulled his head away in response, I rewarded. In a few sessions he stopped biting almost completely, and now only threatens with it ifI am being a total pain in the ***, but then of course he is completely right to do so. ;)

Hello! This is nice! I had a course of Josepha in febr09 and I loved it! Everything is relaxed and focus on joy, peace and happiness! I have great results with this... A "don't touch me horse" becomes a "wanna play horse"!

Your videos are remarkable!

Amazing work.. I was wondering what you would do if a horse bites? I don't like the idea of hitting them.
