About Natives Of The New Dawn
After 12 Detroit Music Award nominations, countless U.S. tours, and a trip to Germany resulting in a 2nd place trophy in the Emergenza International Music Festival, Natives Of The New Dawn moved from the gritty Detroit streets to the west coast to continue their success in the city of angels. It didnt take long for people to recognize the infectious blend of genres, (including soul, funk and hip-hop) and open their doors to the new sound. 2008 proved to be a leap forward for the group with sponsorships from Guitar Center and Jagermeister, as well as national radio play and 2 U.S. tours. (including the Vans Warped Tour) Currently the Natives are embarking on a 3rd U.S. tour with punk-rock legends Fishbone, and will also be showcased on the MavTV hit series Rad Girls in the upcoming season. The group is also writing and recording for a new album due to release fall 2009.
