"Each song is unique. Each song has its own sound, its own feeling, its own story." -JCFrom a single piano and a passion for anything that makes noise, Nasrath's sole composer, writer, and producer Jordan Campbell (alias JC and Valkyrie, to her fans) has managed to create a realm where the only rule is that anything and everything can be art if you're crazy enough to try. Based out of Arizona, Nasrath started as a tiny dream in the back of an intuitively inventive mind. After changing the focus of (and quite a few names for) the band, Nasrath was established in January of 2009. Having a few of songs leftover form various other brainchildren, Nasrath was able to produce its first EP, Genesis, in a little over a month. Loved, hated, and very largely ignored, Genesis is a combination of classical sounds as well as the experimental alternative techniques that the fanliest of fans still fears and hopes for.
In the spring of 2009, Nasrath released a four-track demo titled "Celestial" to a few select fans. Due to be released in August of 2009 is Nasrath's first full-length album, The Light Side of Dark, which will be entirely self-written, recorded, mixed, and produced.
***IMPORTANT NOTICE***
Yes, I am perfectly aware that the link says "buy". However, if you scroll down to the picture of that awesome looking black hole like object, you can download the EP for free. No buying. Youtube lies. Kinda like the MNU. -JC
