For the guys not succeeding with this fix I have another one for you: While you are downloading whatever update that gives you this error, connect the PS3 joystick through usb and leave it there while it downloads. IT WORKS believe me. If it works for you too, thumb me up.

I have heard that the i3 2100 even though is a dual core, it has 2 more virtual cores and it uses them depending on the load to the CPU. Maybe that' s why your having no problems with GTIV. Cheers.
