My last relaxer was in March 2007. I wore kinky twists for two years while the relaxer grew out. In April 2009, I came "out" with my natural hair. It was very difficult for me; I had not worn my hair natural since I was a young child and even then, it was braided, plaited or straightened with a hot comb. (In other words, it was hidden.)

This is a journey. My hair is not thick, but fine and thin (genetics and stress) and it has been a struggle to find styles that I am comfortable wearing. I am not a hair expert or a stylist. I am learning about my hair, and I will share with you what I am learning.
