My skin is very dry as well and when it is really bad and it hurts (sometimes it even bleeds) I use just cold pressed jojoba-oil. It can be a little pricy but it is really worth it, because it is sooo oily... I also got some shea butter from my sister-in-law in Guinea and it works too but in the winter you have to apply some heat on it :D
Hey Laura, I was just checking your hair care products and saw that there are a lots of silicones, parabens and sulfates in there... I was a big "enemy" of those ingridients but as I avoided them for 3 years I don't see any big difference. On the contrary, my hair breaks even more often and I had to cut it this year... So what do you think of "bad" ingredients?
I am so happy you made this one! (I even forgot I was cooking a chilly and now I have to clean the kitchen...) I am thinking about putting some fresh chopped rosemary in the dough...
Well, I guess you growing older...hahaha... you just know there are more important things than make up, you are just not obsessed with hiding your acne any more. And that's great! You are not exactly the same person like 2 years ago, because you've learnt so much! As for me, I mostly do my eyes and I never use make up if I don't feel like it, so I am never bored with it :)
I love ironing! So next time, you are coming to Europa...think about it! :D But I hate cleaning the bathroom...
I was wondering - because you have sooo much make up and nail products - how long do you use them, before you throw them out? I mean, do you manage to use every product for two years as mostly the expiration date is?
I really don't think you should be excusing yourself for not having children! I mean... it is your life! You cannot bring order into other people's lives..
yayy, home made mayo is a great idea! :)
I am not African but my fiance, and yes, he makes a similar dish :))
The more often you wash your hair, the more oil will produce your scalp, because you are washing it out. If you try to stretch the wash period, your hair and scalp will get used to it eventually.
And there is another reason why you shouldn't wash every day: wet hair is much more fragile and likely to break, because the cuticule is "open"
It's snowing here... I am not organizing a picknick... :(
I think it is always the other people who make the problem emotional Even if they are not teasing you, a child never comes up with the idea that acne (or whatever) is a problem and that it makes some people different. It is always the other kids and the grown-ups who tell you what is "good" and "bad" As an anthropologist I think medical anthropology would have some theories about medical problems and emotions :))
I always wonder: do you throw your egg wash away every single time or you can re-use it? And if so, how (and how long) do you store it? Can you use it for other purposes (like a normal egg in a recipe?) I always feel guilty when I know I am going to waste a whole egg just for the egg wash, so I mostly skip this step :)
Well, I think 3 times a week is quite good :) And about the Halloween stuff: I would be happy to see the one with the healthy snacks :)
