Growing up in Liverpool in the Swinging Sixties, music has always been manicurist Midge A. Killen's life. From hanging out with Freda Kelly and the Beatles at the Cavern Club to learning Latin American Dance, this girl has got rhythm.

Her amazing talent as a nail expert saw her set up the UK's first professional nail bar in London' West End. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Midge was in constant demand from TV, top fashion magazines and the international catwalk, leading Vogue to dub her "Nail Surgeon to the Stars".

Dozens of celebrity musicians such as Cher and Barbara Streisand counted her as their personal manicurist. But while some just wanted to look beautiful, others soon realised Midge's superb manicures improved their playing performance too.

Soon stars from the world of jazz and blues were beating a path to Midge's exclusive South Moulton Street studio for her tailor-made guitarist nail sets. Paul Simon called on her for his first London concert in 22 years when he played Hyde Park in 2004, and Midge is the only manicurist trusted by Hugh Burns of Acoustic Masters fame.

In 2005, demand for her services saw Midge set up a London-based guitarists nail clinic - the first of its kind in the UK.
