About this user
Since 1974, the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering has worked with Americas leading corporations to sustain and increase the pool of minority students from under-served communities who seek careers in engineering. Over the last 34 years, NACME has spent more than $114 million in scholarship and support services for more than 22,000 African American, Latino and American Indian students at 160 colleges and universities. NACME's success is evidenced in the 81 percent graduation rate of its scholars -- nearly double the nation of rate of 39 percent for minority engineering students, and higher than the national retention-to-graduation rate for non-minority students.
