I love the 80's and I wish this spirit of music would come back. It was beautiful and meaningful. Not anymore, but at least we have video and memory.

@sumbra this song does bring back sooo many memories. I was a little girl when this song came out, but I had a brother who was 8 years older. I remember him playing Shirley's songs and even though I didnt truly understand them then, I do now. She is great.

Reminds me of growing up...I may not have known what it meant, but this song was apart of my childhood. I understand now. But too bad they don't sing this type of music now. Makes you wish you were born sooner.

I see why his are for more over seas, than in America. We put up with too much. We must have lower self esteem or something. We just keep on taking losers back instead of getting over them and moving on.

I always think of my mother...this song was played at her wake by Elvis....But Fantasia remade it and made it soooo spectacular. It touches my soul when I hear it. I close my eyes and just feel the emotion of the lyrics, she is awesome. Thank you Fantasia for doing this song well beyond justice.
