About this user
I am a fairly average and so far insignificant person living in England and currently content to be so. I am Atheist, Feminist and a Green Party supporter, believe that all people are equal, no matter their age, religion, sexuality, gender or where they come from. I get very passionate about things I care about like oppression of women anywhere in the world or the fact that some people think homosexuality is punishable by death. I believe in love and read Tarot yet am skeptical about almost everything else (like the words of most politicians!) and if I had one wish it'd be that soldiers in Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Palestine and anywhere else there is conflict would just look down at their hands, their guns and bombs, think "this is stupid" and wake up to what it is they're actually doing It's pretty far-fetched but hey. I've got Christmas 1914 to go on :) XFutility - Wilfred Owen
Move him into the sun-
Gently its touch awoke him once,
At home, whispering of fields half-sown.
Always it woke him, even in France,
Until this morning and this snow.
If anything might rouse him now
The kind old sun will know.
Think how it wakes the seeds -
Woke once the clays of a cold star.
Are limbs, so dear achieved, are sides
Full-nerved, still warm, too hard to stir?
Was it for this the clay grew tall?
- O what made fatuous sunbeams toil
To break the earth's sleep at all?
