@Applebaum Why does everyone say that Nina Simone wrote the song and was the first to sing it. It was written (not by her) for a play and the first singer was an actor named Cy Grant. I'd actually say that the best version was Muse's followed by Michael Buble's.

I completely agree with #1 but Jurassic Park should have been on the list and in the top 10 at least. And Tron (the original) should have been in the top 20. Both movies had a pretty huge impact on special effects in movies today. And both were a lot better than Dune and E.T.

Since when was Atlas Shrugged popular? Sure it sold 7 million which is a lot more than a lot of other books but when compared to others it isn't. It sold that many in over 60 years. The Catcher in the Rye sold about 10 times as many copies in about the same time. The Lord of the Rings sold ov...

You know someone else who worked hard? Nikola Tesla. The inventor of the AC generator. That reminds me. Rand doesn't know the difference between a generator and a motor. A generator is what creates the energy. Galt invented a GENERATOR not a MOTOR. And anyway, what happened to Tesla? All h...

Interesting to see people compare Nikola Tesla and Atlas Shrugged. I could care less about Galt. When I a biography of Tesla, I felt pretty sad for him. He made a lot of inventions that were stolen by businessmen like Westinghouse and Edison. ie, Westinghouse's power plant used AC generators. ...
