I know Oregon is a beautiful place. I know people who live in Washington State, which is also beautiful. The western coat of Canada and Alaska is also a great place to visit. I hope I would be able to tour the western coast at some time in my life. If you ever get the chance to come to the uk and europe then please come because there are many beautiful, historic places here. Too many to mention here.

Hi! I noticed that 'The Diary of Anne Frank' is on your list of movies. That's why I recommend that you see 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas', also set in the 1940s with Holocaust connections (based on the novel). You can watch the trailer here on yt & maybe reserve the movie at your local library. The ending is unforgettable. Ever been to Paris? I visited the City of Lights in 2008 and took pics of Jim Morrison's grave. Out of about a million graves at Père LaChaise only Morrison's grave is patrolled by security guards 24/7, kind of funny. And if you've never heard him, try listening to Gary Moore, especially his unbelievable kickass guitar work on 'Parisienne Walkways' & 'Still Got the Blues'. I just found him by accident on yt one day, such an underrated genius. Enjoy! : )

Oh well. I will probably hate California. The whole of the UK is a wonderful place to visit, especially with all the history, beautiful scenery, weather etc. Although we do have crime here too like a lot of places. There are some very awesome places in the USA. I have a friend who was born in England and emigrated to Canada, as her husband was in the navy, who toured the USA a lot. Then they returned to the UK. She wasn't interested in cities so much, more into the countryside, scenic side of things and she said the best State for beauty is West Virginia.
