I'm usually glad to answer questions, time permitting. One question I get a lot is why are my pedigree Persians outside 'running loose?' The answer is -- they aren't. What you are seeing is my backyard which I've converted into a safe enclosure. Trees either have guards on them to prohibit climbing or they are trimmed back from the roofs. A cat-safe kit is installed on top of the fence. My cats cannot get out and neighbor cats cannot get in. You can see a tour of it on my website. I don't believe that cats should run free whether they are pedigree or not. I'm also a strong proponent of spay/neuter. Unless you are a responsible breeder, there is no excuse for having an intact cat. Cats that are spay/neutered make much better, healthier, easier to live with pets.
