@Jarren202 Todd Rundgren's Utopia had three keyboards initially, but that was mid-70's and much more prog rock oriented than Berlin's new wave sound. Terri still much better looking than Todd, though...

early 80's jazz/fusion. Similar to Spyro Gyra and Tom Scott's LA Express from that time. Timeless stuff.

Check ebay from time to time for their cd's. Was able to get Unchain Your Mind, Last Picture Show and The Conversation all at a very reasonable price (cheap actually). Just gotta be persistant!

obviously some stuff done during Utopia's transition from their 6-man prog records (TR's Utopia and Another Live) and their eventual 4-man lineup?

@1957thack Kind of fitting that Rush's debut album came out in '74 as well. Both bands went in entirely different directions of course, but I always thought Rush's concept albums of the 70's were similar to Utopia's first two albums. Albeit on the heavier side.

@Biffpa52 I remember getting both on vinyl when they came out, those were the days! Finally able to pick up a copy of Oblivion, POV and some trivia (CD) on Amazon for 16 bucks. Hard to find it for less than $40 most of the time. I see they have remastered CD's of both albums out now.

Is this on CD or is it a download? I'd really like to pick it up somewhere. Really liked Between the music and Latitude.

@cathoderoy Indeed! In fact I've gotten to the point where I'm hoping RUSH (my alltime band) NEVER makes it in. With some of the acts they let in (Abba? Are you shittin' me?) I'm scared shitless they would be inducted with the likes of Bananarama or the Go-Go's!

If you can find it, listen to the Tiki God's version of Mr. Lucky. It's the best recording I've heard them do. It was on a martini music CD that came with a martini kit I got my dad for xmas. Ultimate in lounge fare...

@maximadog TR's Utopia and Another Live are still two of the best prog rock albums. On par with anything Yes or ELP ever did (in my opinion). This stuff is timeless as far as I'm concerned. Always liked the four man version of Utopia as well, and as for Todd's solo stuff, you never knew what dir...

You can get the Redux DVD for pretty cheap on ebay unless there is another version that includes the additional tracks that were on the Redux CD. Would be great to see this lineup one more time...

@throwsand I kind of agree that their prog era "sort of" ended after Hemispheres. However, Jacob's Ladder, Natural Science and The Camera Eye seemed to carry the extended (prog) length tracks into the early 80's. Certainly nothing wrong with what they did after that. Rush has always been Rush ...
