My Dad was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with CJD, our family is in shock and devastated. He is now in hospice with only weeks to live. We need more education in hospitals and for Drs on prion diseases.

Thank you for the information, my Dad was just diagnosed with CJD. We have had my Dad to 3 different neurosurgeons and neurologist. He has had numerous tests MRI, CT scans and just recently hospitialized and had an eeg, which gave diagnosis. His condition has declined in less than 6 months. He...

I agree more people need education on this disease, and Drs. really need to listen when people tell them how quickly thier loved ones are changing. That was the biggest obstacle for our family, I don't think they really listened or believed us..
