My Funeral Records was officially created in 2007 to give shape to a cultural project actually started many years before with Xtreme Art Distribution: the promotion of skilled artists in the extreme music scene, whose talent has been kept hidden or overshadowed by such commercial rubbish constantly offered by the music business.

My Funeral Records reckons there is much more to an album than its simple commercial value. Albums are conceived as pieces of artwork to be enhanced and cared for in every detail, including a exclusive cover design and artwork.

Not only.

My Funeral Records interprets every release as the very result of an intellectual research, of an intense experience leading through esotherism, psychology and occultism to reach the most intimate and obscure emotions of the human being.

Such ambitious purposes have lead MFR to the first important achievement in 2008, with the realease of "In Hoc Signo Vinces", the full-length debut album of L'Ordre du Temple: a esotheric black metal journey deep into oneiric medieval atmospheres.

In 2009, two more important Italian bands have signed with My FuneraL Records: the gothic metal band Alight and the neoclassical symphonic metal band Inner Shrine.
The first one, Alight, are the combination of four creative minds that want to reach a new different sound combining metallic guitar riffs, catchy synthesizer themes and electronic sounds. "Don't Feat The Revenge" is a healthy dose of Alight's brand of Gothic influenced metal complete with lots of melody and great musicianship that carry this effort from beginning to end.
The 3rd production of My FuneraL Rec is the 4th studio album of Inner Shrine, "Mediceo". Inner Shrine's trademark of art at multiple levels is the soul of this album: classical music, with the voice of the soprano Cecilia Boninsegni, metal and gothic are mixed in the typical Inner Shrine's Sound.
