After 11 years of brandishing a microphone as his weapon of choice,21 year old MidWest lyricist MyCooL McGee,has saw his career go from the underground to the "mainstream underground".Through all the things that have hindered his success,such as lack of promotion,failure to be booked for shows,zero radio play,curses of long hiatuses due to financial mishaps & an over-saturation of rappers within hip-hop,McGee has always found a way to make himself relevant which most spectators say is nothing short of a miracle.Some look at what he has accomplished as even more of an incredible feat because of all local artists teaming up & excluding McGee and his group,Spiffy Entourage.Many fans of MyCooL would like to believe its because McGee & everybody else in his group are not originally from the city he represents but the reason for the subliminal cold shoulder to him remains unexplained.

Although he has never broken into the mainstream of America he has often been mentioned in those barbershop conversations as "the next big thing".After gaining popularity in the Midwest as a battle rapper on several local circuits by boasting a 40-0 battle record McGee left the battle scene at 19 in 2008 to resume making music.His return to music making was a success & soon landed him in several good situations.In November of 2009 he gained the attention of Young Jeezy's protege',45 Tha Feva & was signed instantly.However, a shattered dream moment occurred in November 2010,when Young Jeezy's artist,45 Tha Feva,left CTE for Atlantic Records.McGee found himself on yet another downward spiral,after sitting on the label (Rockin Hustlaz/CTE) for an entire year,in his career as he went from protege' of one of the Souths most respected emcees artist to just another great unsigned rapper.

McGee then revamped himself & changed his sound by reverting back to the MyCooL McGee of old which was what earned him respect initially.With the punchlines,similes,metaphors and songs with soul & substance back in his repertoire,McGee realized that being himself is what separates the best from the rest.Although the stint he had in the South with artists such as Trillville,Almane Lo & 45 Tha Feva was greatly appreciated he realized what many of his die-hard fans did when he found himself making music without the spirit of himself within the tracks coming from him:"This isnt me".

Now with the correct mindset,anticipation he always leaves & the same hunger that puts him amongst future upcoming stars,MyCooL McGee is ready to make the same impact that resurrected his career in 2008 along with his beloved rap group,Spiffy Entourage (Baby Soulja,New Kidd,Zeandra Nicole,Kerion Maserati & CashBoy Crissy).The only thing for the 21 year old to now is to convert the same success into 2011.
