I came across a channel where someone is explaining things he did not like in the Quran, so therefore he decided the Quran could not be right and became an EX MUSLIM. Just because you don't like something doesn't make it wrong. He felt God could not be so merciful if His wrath was so severe... so therefore the guy opts out of Islam.

FACTS WE ALL AGREE ON:

-6 BILLION PEOPLE ON EARTH
-4 BILLION SHARE THE ISLAMIC-CHRISTIAN FAITH
-YOU BEING AN ATHIEST BELONG TO MINORITY
-ISLAM IS FASTEST GROWING RELIGION
-MUSLIMS BELIEVE IN CHRIST AS A PROPHET
-THE QURAN CAME AS GODS FINAL WORD AFTER THE BIBLE WAS DISTORTED BY HUMANS
-GOD TOOK IT ON HIMSELF TO PROTECT IT TILL THE FINAL DAY (AND IT IS PRESERVED TODAY)

Look, I will be honest. I had my doubts in Islam also. I was thinking like you and had a million doubts and questions, and thinking that there is no God. But after being unable to find answers to my questions below, I guess I rather just have an insurance policy (religion) for when I die; just incase there is a God. You know, we all have insurance on our cars, but we have no guarantees we will get into an accident.

So again the main reason I did not opt out of Islam is because the following questions I simply could not answer:


1) How did an illiterate Muhammad write a holy book entirely in poetry?

2) Was Muhammad a poet? Did he lie about being illeterate?

3) Was he a genius to write it in poetry so it can be memorized easily, making it easy to preserve it since it can verbally be passed on from generation to generation? Should we give him a round of applause for his brilliance?

4) How did he claim to protect it through the test of time? How can any human make such a statement and back it up?

5) It is now 2010, and the Quran has not changed since Muhammad passed it on. How did he claim this preservation 1400 yrs ago?

6) Why would Muhammad fast 30 days following a lunar calendar and not eat food or water?

7) Why would he pray 5 times a day following a lunar calendar? No other religion today pray as much as muslims. Why?

8) The simple things muslims do day to day, washing your privates after bathroom, greeting every other muslim with Asalamualakum (peace and blessings on you), obligate charity, etc. Why did he mandate all of this? Did he have a cleaning phobia?

9) Why didn't he want any photos of him being taken? Was he ugly? There are thousands of photos and statues of Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, etc. Why did Muhammad insist that no photos be taken of himself.

10) How did he know about embrylogoy, astronomy, the universe and so on? Was he a scientist as well as poet?


So I had so many doubts in my mind also, but I just could not answer these questions. If you have the answers to all of these, please let me know and help clear things up for me. Fasting for 30 days is too difficult, so I rather be on your side and live an easy life! Let me know. Thanks!!
