Any electric instrument that has steel strings must have the strings grounded to avoid hum. Since your bridge is plastic, grounding it won't help. The tailpiece is metal, so attach a ground wire from it to the ground side of the output jack. That would be the non tip part. Any way you can get...

Very nice ukulele. Did you use cherry for the soundboard as well? If so, how does it compare to other tone woods that you have used? It sounds like a very interesting use of woods.

Thanks for the new video. Carving the neck is my least favorite part. Someone asked me how I carve a neck by hand without a template. I told them I start with a blank piece and remove anything that doesn't look like a neck. I have enjoyed all your videos and am looking forward to the next.

Great video. The first one to really explain intonation and how to set up a guitar at its best. I build ukuleles for fun and friends. This video will apply to the small scale lengths even more than large ones.
