About this user

I am a muslim living in the US. I think it is hard to wear hijab here sometimes, but wearing it makes me feel so empowered, it a wonderful feeling, and i know Allah is with me helping me every step of the way!! I'm proud to be a Muslim, and i don't think anyone should ever be afraid to admit that!!

Something else i would like to address is what hijab really is. Plopping a scarf on your head and just saying i'm covered isn't hijab, there are several things that one needs to do for it to be hijab:

1. Pray for guidence and help with the hijab, otherwise nothing good could come for you.
2. This needs to be for Allah, not just bc your parents want you to, do it for the right reasons.
3. Just bc your hair is covered doesn't mean that hijab. The only thing showing should be face and hands.
4. When i say covered, i mean don't wears tight fitting clothes and say i'm good bc my hair is covered, wear clothes that are loose fitting, and try to be modest.
5. One thing every sister needs to know is that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks, the only one you should worry about is Allah. If someone doesn't like you wearing the hijab, you don't want that person in you life.

Sisters, if you do these things, you have nothing to fear!!

Now, besides learning about the religion i'm really into politics and pop culture, i love seeing everything around me and trying new things. I will admit, i am a youtube addict, and if their was anonymous grouping meeting for this kind of thing, i think i would be a prime candidate for it!!
