Arcadia Bluegrass Festival This was in April, 2006. They had a couple good bands this year, but it's always been more of a jamming/hanging out with friends festival. Cherryholmes, Lost & Found, Danny Paisley & Southern Grass, and Audie Bleylock & Redline were a couple good ones that were there. Great way to kick off festival season!

Franklin Music Festival My Mom, best friend, Randi, and I made the long haul to Franklin, KY last September in the motorhome. The music was great as well as the friendships that were made.

Nashville Vacation 2005 My mom, Randi, and I went to Nashville for a week long vacation. We went to the Ryman and saw Maontain Heart and Doyle Lawson and also went to the Station Inn to see Alecia Nugent. The rest of the time we hung out with our friend Lyle. You'll see him in the videos of Rippy's Bar & Grill.

About My Bluegrass Excursions

Well, I love music. I like pretty much everything (except rap and polka) but I've been listening to bluegrass since I was -9 months old. I go to several festivals and take lots of pics and videos. It's pretty much my passion. I write songs and stories and play the guitar and fiddle and tinker around with the banjo and mandolin. I LOVE NASHVILLE! I'm moving there when I get done with school and, as of now, I'm officially a big, bad senior at Solanco High School! woohoo!
Other then that, I'm your average 17 year old girl. I take what life throws at me and I don't really complain about it too much. I live by the sayings "Everything happens for a reason" and "If God brings you to it, He'll bring you through it". I'm not extremely religous, but I believe in God and try to live by His word every day AND live every day to the fullest.
My Mom is my hero and one of my best friends. My other best friend is Randi. You might see her in some of the videos. Between the three of us, going to bluegrass festivals is always a blast. Randi and I, however, do get ourselves into messes and have sewn our wild oats, but that's what being a teenager is about, right? haha
Other things I like include reading, being outside, going places, I love meeting new people, hanging out with friends and family, watching TV, talking on the phone, shopping (ya know, all the teenage girl stuff), and just being me.
