What is the name of the opening piece before the 2nd tune Alpha? I have most, if not all,of Vangelis' music but not that one. Or is it someone else?

@mrktacoma Maybe not musically but just from looking at that picture you can see where Gaga got her initial look. Of course, "there is nothing new except for what's been forgotten (lyric from Patrick Moraz)"

Amazing how many albums he's done that are great from start to finish, this one too.

And there is another, slower version of this song on the album. Not a remix or slowed down like with today's stuff but a totally different arrangement.

One of my favorite songs of all time (probably #2) is "Irene Wilde".

Hey, get your labelling right. This is the Animals. If you purposely put on the wrong title to get people to listen, then you succeeded. Other than that, Animals dude.

At least write a sentence saying the title is wrong.

@Stevetheperformer I agree and, of course, there is the risque (for a 12 year old back then) Whipped Cream & Other Delights. Even the title is open to suggestion.

This was the very first album I had as a kid (must've been around 12). I got this album because of a tune on it used in a car commercial (for Cougar).

I was into this band even before I succumbed to the Beatles.

I want to hear any death metal vocalist in 10 years. Their voices will be shot to shreds after "singing" now.

@AllMalt711 Different mood. Only thing I would critique is the bass player's vocals on it. You don't hear the words or singing per se. I never really cared for the vocals by him in the band.

Other than that, a very good jazz interpretation. Can't beat Keith Emerson.

Good thing Keith's hair didn't poke him in the eyes while playing :)

@Coneman3 And then you have Ommadawn, the first part, which is sometimes preferable to TB (part 2).

Come to think of it, why are the second parts of TB, HR and Ommadawn seemingly inferior to the first parts? As if they were rushed to complete the piece.

First time I heard this was in Tower Records back in the day when music stores ruled with djs playing different genres of music. Picked up the cd, still play it to this day.
