Tommy Peoples : The Laird of Drumblair/Little John's Hame [Strathspeys]
Tommy Peoples plays two Scottish strathspeys in the RTÉ Dublin studio in January 1981. The second tune is a J.Scott Skinner composition.
@ceadachrua thing is, the strathspey is a dance, and a very graceful dance too. If any lassie tried to dance to this, she would end up with multiple fractures to the toes and ankles. I am all for speed fiddling in the appropriate place and time, but please, not when playing a strathspey.

This is a poem that Robert Burns wrote. My dad and I really like it, but it was kinda hard to understand with the Scots spelling and phrases in it....

Refret Tutorial Chapter 3
Chapter three of the refret tutorial. This covers the actual prep and installation of the fret wire.
The drill table flexes somewhat when you use the drill press like an arbor press.
You would get a more solid feel if you cut a 4"x2" to length and wedged it between the drill table and the drill base so that it acted as a secondary support column.
Excellent series of videos btw ...

Fret work_pulling fret
ギターのフレットを抜いているところ。
The scene which pulls a fret.
@weseyedwalk No, it doesn't.
Heating the fret softens the wood fibers in the end grain of the slot, (and also any glue which might be in there, )and helps the fret to come out without any tear-out. The fret puller has sharp jaws which slip under the fret crown, but they don't crimp the barbs.

Nic Drake isn't responsible for the grammatical error in the video title, at no point in the song does he sing "must OF been smoking too long".

JOHN MCLAUGHLIN GUITAR TRIO 1979 "good bye pork pie hat"
