I am a Volunteer Guide dog puppy walker.You get a pup at 6wks old till about 12mths,we teach basic commands and socialise them.About 12mths of age they go into Forfar Training centre where they learn to work in a harness and are taught new skills as well as brushing up what we have taught them.
It was a sad day when Heather left me but to have played such a small part in raising a future Guide Dog makes it all worth while,plus you a are kept informed of there progress and always know where they are.
