MISIA's Official YouTube Page - This video-clip was shot in Queens (Metropolitan Building), New York in October of 2011 and Directed by John Turturro. This fado is included on the new album "Senhora da Noite" released in France on the 7th of November. O Manto da Rainha is the name given by fortune-tellers to a rare second line in a palm of the left hand, parallel to life line, representing a kind of protection against misfortune. Mísia has this rare line on her hand. In this poem Mísia writes in gothic-romantic metaphors typical of XIX century with the traditional music of Fado Menor.
Mísia met John Turrurro when she sung on "Passione" film shooted in Naples and directed by the italian-american actor and director (www.passionefilm.com). Mísia has always admired John Turturro's talent and filmography therefore she immediately accepted the invitation to participate on the movie. The film starts and ends with two Neapolitan songs sung by Mísia. Initially, she was supposed to sing only "Era di Maggio" with Peppe Servillo and Avion Travel, but John Turturro asked Mísia to learn in 24 hours the song "Indifferentemente" which closes the film. As result of this collaboration, a great artistical complicity was born between the two which lead John Turturro to accept Mísia's invitation to direct her video-clip. The New York Metropolitan Building baroque and decadent ambience could also exist in Lisbon, and it was mutually chosen by both, in order to illustrate Mísia's text. This text is composed from an opening quatrain followed by four quatrains that gloss over the first one. Mísia is deeply grateful to John Turturro's work and artistical generosity.

Billie Holiday - All of me . . . All of me Why not take all of me Can't you see I'm no good without you Take my lips I want to lose them Take my arms I'll never use them Your goodbye left me with eyes that cry How can I go on dear, without you You took the part that once was my heart So why not take all of me

If I'd known you were cheating me, I would have saved myself and set you free. If I learned you weren't the loving kind, I would have saved some peace of mind.
My friends told me you would break my heart, And never last, we would surely part.
There's no smoke without fire, Baby, baby you're a liar.
People talk in this little town, Rumours keep spreading all around. And now word has it you've been foolin' me, I'm so blind that I cannot see.
My friends told me never to believe in you, You never loved me you were never true.
There's no smoke without fire, Baby, baby you're a liar.
No there's no smoke without fire. Baby, baby you're a liar. You're a liar You're a liar You're a liar Baby you're a liar.
There's no light without a flame, There's no use in having you to blame.
No There's no smoke without fire. Baby, baby you're a liar. You're a liar
