My name is Nick Chan.If you really want to know,my name 'muffinchan2010' is actually my dog Muffin,and my surname Chan.Sadly,Muffin died in 2010,so my YouTube name is shared with him.
I am Malaysian,but I study in Singapore.I started studying in Singapore at the age of 10.I won't consider myself a super-smart guy,I am just the 'average student' type of guy.
I am an artist, but I don't put my works online,I think my drawings are ugly!My drawings are mediocre at best.I have seen so many other works that put mine to shame.I draw mostly aircraft, cars,spacecraft and I (sometimes) draw Transformers too.I draw only the cartoon versions,I think the movie versions are way-y-y-y above my skill.My friends think my drawings are nice,but I would like to tell them that they can do much better than I can.And sure enough,My friends get higher marks for their art examinations...
However,I do strive to improve my drawings,learning as I go along.Most of my drawings are inspired by the art on model boxes.One of my favorite artists are Shigeo Koike, who is an artist who works for Hasegawa,a Japanese high-quality model manufacturer.His works are extremely well done.
I also do modelling.No,not that modelling.I mean plastic modelling.I started at the age of 12.I model aircraft(again).My interest in modelling must have been inherited from my father,who does jet aircraft and car modelling.A hardcore modeler ,my mom complains about the space my dad's models take up.
I am a hardcore fan of any space-related subjects.Space exploration has always fascinated me ever since I was young.Schools often teach the voyages of Magellan,Zheng He of Christopher Columbus, but we hardly ever hear of the perilous journeys that Shepard,Armstrong,Glenn or Cernan to places no man had ever gone to.That I am a little disappointed,but I am not implying that journeys into space are more important than exploring our home planet,both have benefited us,just in different ways.
