What is the point, does it matter? Just when my life fits together, the pieces scatter. I fight for what I see as right and fair. I lose the battles and wars, my hopes are utterly bare. The amendments to my laws are filled with vice The loop holes are opportunities to toss the dice They roll and roll,......... the snake eyes open wide. I stare into the eyes and fear the worst My throat cracks from fear and eternal thirst. I yell at the Gods and the powers that mock me. I am struck blind, but only then can I see. What is the point? What does it matter? The rich get richer and the fat fatter. The points get dulled by the incessant grind And the matter is gray, lost in my mind.
