WHAT IS MUA?
MUA, or Manipulation Under Anesthesia, is an advanced bone and muscle stretching and adjustment technique.
Under the care of an anesthesiologist, the patient is lightly sedated, much like the sedation used during a colonoscopy or endoscopy.
This light sedation allows the doctor, usually a DC, to make the adjustments necessary to restore range of motion and flexibility, thus eliminating pain.
