I was in Vicarious for a long time. I came back to the game shortly before the downfall, and I had an inside scoop with the officers. Firstly, a large portion of the raid core left because Kharhaz sold items for gold that people still needed, and worried more about his own gold selling than the guild. After losing 10-15 members, Vicarious rebuilt, and was raiding again, but was stuck on Alg. Since Kharhaz was the raid leader, and MT, without him we had trouble raiding, and eventually he stopped coming because of work / school / burnt out. He finally came back one night expecting to kill Alg, and they spent the whole hour wiping, and he logged and didn't come back on. He came back on a week later, with only 5-6 members still left in the guild, with half the guild bank missing because the officers took the items and switched guilds. He said his good byes to the remaining members, kicked everyone except a lvl 1 alt to keep the name, and didn't log on again. Thats the ending of Vicarious.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I've played on Area 52 for years and watched Vicarious blow through all of the Burning Crusade content, then Naxx, Eye of Eternity, Ulduar etc. When Vicarious disbanded many people from Vicarious were asked why they disbanded. Answers varied but most said that Kharhaz, the GM. Had a poor loot council, and most of all, he sold gold.

@ w00ttia, vicarious died on A 52 after like their world first. lots of rumors but i never really talked to much of them unless it was arena or something. most of their officers started a guild Forceful Entry which got server first algalon 25 then they broke apart
