I have to disagree with you. They were all great singers. There harmony and talent will never be matched. Lew just had a unique tenor voice. But I think Phil was the glue that made them all sound great. Don was the best lead singer ever. I guess this shows I was a huge fan of the Statlers. Guess...

We saw Barbara Mandrell and the Statlers at the Illinois State Fair in 1978 or '79 Barbara had her TV show in the early 80's. It was a very good show and the Statlers were guests on her show a number of times. They were all total class. Wish there could be talent like this today.

The Statlers could write and honor Chet Atkins and Minnie Pearl. They were the best intertainers and writers that have walked this earth. I also like SuzY Boggus. They just don't make music like this anymore. Thanks for the post.
