COMP 3077 ONLINE - Excel for Business Advanced at Fanshawe
Welcome to the COMP 3077 Excel for Business Advanced virtual classroom delivered by yours truly, Marketing Professor Mike Sloan from Fanshawe College. If you are in one of my online sections, please jump to the next paragraph. If you are accessing this playlist as a visitor from one of my other sections of COMP 3077 that is not designated as on online section, please read the next few sentences. Your due dates for Quizzes, Training, and Cases are likely still at the end of your regularly scheduled weekly class or possibly set to an alternative date that was pre-arranged with me due to an absence or conflict where advance notice was provided. You cannot simply change your due date because you have chosen to attend classes virtually. That online due date discussed below only applies to my online sections. Due dates notwithstanding, all of my students are welcome to complete their work for COMP 3077 using these videos. You just need to be aware of your due dates.
FOR MY ONLINE SECTIONS:
As an online student in COMP 3077 (section 7 in W2011), this YouTube playlist serves as your classroom for the semester. It will contain my weekly lecture and demonstration videos* for the content in this course, all of which will be labeled appropriately in chronological order.
For the most part, videos will be posted during the earlier part of the week (never later than Tuesday by 7pm but often sooner). Your weekly work (Training, Quizzes, and Projects) associated with these videos will always be due by 5pm on Fridays (3 days later following the Tuesday posting date) to be submitted to your unique SAM 2010 account (not via FOL) at http://sam2010.course.com. I will then transfer your grades manually from SAM 2010 to FOL the following week. Grades are not transferred automatically, so please remain calm when you log into FOL immediately after completing your work via SAM 2010 only to see that the grades aren't there yet. They will always be transferred over from SAM 2010 within one week's time.
While this YouTube playlist is your main platform for attending virtual classes, FanshaweOnline is still the platform from which I will conduct all course related communications (mostly via numbered emails, a process that is explained in my second FOL email during week 1). I will also post all important links and resources related specifically to online sections in FOL content for this course under the "COMP 3077 ONLINE" module in the lower area of the content section. As long as you keep up-to-date in these two places, you shouldn't miss a beat.
