Hi! I have been working with CAD and Engineering Design as a part of FIRST Robotics Team 1515 "MorTorq". I joined FIRST Robotics in the 7th grade, on Team 1836. I consider that to be among the best decisions I have ever made. Today, I am both CAD Captain and Co-Director of Mechanical Design for Team 1515. FIRST has inspired me to do incredible things. Through the program, I have made the decision to major in Mechanical Engineering and pursue a career in Mechatronics. My CAD and Design work has been recognized by Autodesk, Inc. as a finalist entry for the 2011 Autodesk Excellence in Design Award - an International accolade. In terms of my experience, I specialize in Machine and Robotic systems design. Additionally, I have experience working with Sheet-Metal design and chained or geared drive systems. I have also worked with 3d routed pneumatic/hydraulic tubing runs and electrical wiring runs. I am proud to say that I have designed multiple complete robotic systems for FRC.When describing CAD to others, I almost always say, "Imagine the ability to build a product, run tests on it, and scrap it up. Only to do it again, and again, and again, until you are perfectly content with the result. All before cutting your first piece of metal".
