our "excitable" words were "Quickie round the block" aka walkies
Tucky time aka dinner

but yours is so quiet, ours were extremely vocal and the whole neighborhood would know they were getting fed, going for a ride or going for a walk :)

Had a Rottweiler (13yrs) b4 the last 2 he also was a character a dog version of a grasshopper, he could literally do backflips at 45kilos lol. but unlike the BMD he hated other dogs, wasn't fazed and was very friendly to people but other dogs were his mortal enemy.

B4 that a dog Rodesian Ridgeback cross (14yrs) that looked like Pluto - Mickey Mouses dog, he was a dream dog too and a great guard dog when needed.

and yeah you aren't in the least bit crazy, when you truly love your pets and treat them as a family member they are more then pets and almost act as such. Rocky would sleep only on my bed and insisted on cuddling up to me back to back with his head on the pillows, he even went as far as pulling covers over himself when he was on the bed by himself.

All our dogs were inside dogs

I lol'd at yours in the video you were feeding her, she didn't take her eyes off the hamburger but still took the chips without looking :)

Those 2 were our 4th and 5th dogs. we seem to peak at 13yrs.
had a Jack Russel when i was a baby but he got run over so i didnt know him. In time we may get another, still not ready to move on and like you there was just something about Rocky that was different then the other dogs. He had brain issues kinda like migranes that gave him lockjaw and a pulsating head whenever he got overly excited or hot. Never worked out what was causing it other then possible toxic blood and the cancers in both dogs were diagnosed too late like yours b4 that they were fit as a fiddle til the last couple of months. eerie

Thanks for your nice comments. About 2 months after Breezy passed I rescued a female Great Dane from a desperate situation, she was 11 months old and the owner was going to put her down. I love her very much and it does help to have another dog but I still miss my Bree Bree everyday.

Such a touching story. We love our Berners and know that every day with them is a gift. We let them in the beds and on the furniture and take them everywhere with us that we can. Thank God that they are both healthy. We do feed them a healthy diet and they do not long for treats. When their time comes we will give them anything and everything they want. After all they give us all they have every moment of every day.
Blessings.
