    The Only Ones - Fools

Studio version of Fools, from The Only Ones' album, Baby's Got A Gun.

    mrwibbles1 mrwibbles1 commented:

@stere0lad Wow, never knew it was Pauline Murray, thanks for that tidbit. What a voice. Don't Dictate was just a tour-de-force but that was just one song that comes to mind from a band that was totally underrated, too bad.

The Only Ones - The Whole of the Law

Studio version of The Whole of the Law, from The Only Ones' self titled album.

    mrwibbles1 mrwibbles1 commented:

One of my top favourite Only Ones songs. This song is beautiful.

I'm always blown away by how good the Only Ones were, guitar, drums, bass, vocals that fit and were unique. And good songwriting, great songwriting.

Studio version of Lovers of Today, from The Only Ones' album, Special View.

    mrwibbles1 mrwibbles1 commented:

All the good stuff had an element of danger to it. And in response to the unknowledgeable who ask who they were, I respond by telling them that they have lousy taste in music and that there is no point in talking to them.

The fact that only die-hard followers of good music know about this song underscores how rotten the flow of music on commercial radio was back then.
