I really dislike Eli's bet on the river. When it's checked to him, what does he expect to get value from? Maybe Aspades Jspades. All other hands that Doyle could have would be bluffs, and if he's only counting on getting bluff-raised and calling, that isn't really great value.

@Vengion I'm not sure that he KNEW Ivey would fold; he was pretty sure of it, and also knew that in the long-term making this sort of a play would affect his reputation. I'm sure he can now get called more frequently when he pushes a set on the flop.

Here's the thing about this...when you look at the range of hands Durrrr is playing here, 67 is one of the ONLY ones that pays off a value raise from Eastgate in this spot. Esp considering that his min raise would be to $107,800 in this spot.

Whether you like it or not, this circus act is actually good for poker, because it causes somewhat/very dumb people to gain a keen interest in the game, which leads to easier games at low stakes, which gradually leads to better action at all levels. I think Chan is considered a fairly conservative player compared to a lot of the newer players...and I think in this spot he just got credit because of that.
