Here's some of my favorite artists to give you perhaps a better reference for my foundation in music. I truly believe that it's important to listen to as much music as possible and as diverse as possible, but when you find your true inspirations then it can be good to hone in on them. Also, I feel just cause someone plays a horn doesn't mean they shouldn't listen to Fiddle and Guitar to get either specific lines or overall means of inspiration. There was a time when fiddle, guitar and other string players themselves looked to horns for inspiration so why not vice versa. My goal is horns and strings living and swinging in harmony forever and for all. Thus making for a diverse group.

Here's a very excessive list of YouTube links to some of my favorite artists. Please listen and perhaps play along.
