Elvis: Return to Tupelo
After wandering through Tupelo, Mississippi we caught a bad case of the Elvis Presley bug and ended up spending two years making a film about his early life. As Elaine Dundy told me, "I didn't know he was alive until he died." But the more I learned about him the more I began to appreciate what a tremendous talent he had and the significance of his arrival on the world stage. Besides, he was just plain great to listen to.
