I have dedicated this music page & channel mainly to Steve Marriott - for pushing so hard against the music biz suits when he had nothing left to run on, He never sold his soul & held tight to his truths & his music right to the end despite the inner sadness that surrounded him towards the end. It is also for Ronnie Lane who really held his own with an honest grace & dignity despite the slim(est) chance. And of course it also features other mostly Commonwealth/UK rock - ( aside from Marriott, Smalls & Pie ), Rory Gallagher, Yardbirds, Who and well - you can guess the rest...
About Me:

Born on the wrong side of the pond, really I think like a Brit - my father was born and raised in Scotland - could that be part of all this?
Hometown:
Happy Days Toy Town
Country:
United States
Occupation:
Living!!
Interests:
MUSIC!! Music is the thing, mom was a lounge singer back in the day - and a fine and swanky one she was . I also enjoy reading, writing, and old art. I have written features about pop culture and bands in the past and sat in with a band or two. Like to play guitar and write my own originals albeit a Davies or Marriott I'm not but am always making stuff up! I've run lights, run record shoppes and was an import buyer so yes guess you can call me A music-a-holic! JUST LOOK THRU MY PLAYLISTS! That should reveal the ecclectic playground that is my rock music taste. I also enjoy dancing and outdoors recreation, as well as million other things - no bungy jumping tho! But would zorf anyday.
Movies:
Sunday nights CBC - Flying Circus ...love Monty Python! also BBC Dickens shows, James Herriott shows and QI ( LOVEove Alan Davies & Frey together, also Jupitus & Bailey) like Foyles War & 60's shows you can spot on TVland like The Saint etc ...& dig the History Channel AND The Weather Channel ...um yeah weird ..am forever on about EDDIE IZZARD and the Pythons - EVER AND ETC ETC !! FILMS/DVDS I LIKE - the Rutles!!! & EVERY IZZARD COMEDY DVD EVER ABSOLUTELY MADE - PERIOD!! However 2 of my fave films are "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Goodfellas" ... strange ... Also "Quadrophenia", "This Is Spinal Tap", "Hard Days Night", "That''ll be The Day" and 30'/40's films, also of course the Pythons . LOVE MONTY PYTHON! did I say that already? Did you come here for an arguement? No? Well then may you never be confronted by an evil giraffe either!
Music:
UK/Commomwealth rock mostly - just look at my channel with the TWENTY PLAYLISTS I HAVE! I like many styles but for ROCK it's mod, beat & mid 70s heavy Uk/Commonwealth rock I am on about - mostly MARRIOTT!! MARRIOTT, RONNIE LANE, SMALL FACES HUMBLE PIE!!!, RORY GALLAGHER. MOTOWN, SOUL NORTHERN SOUL!!! KINKS, WHO,YARDBIRDS, WORLD PARTY/WALLINGER!, NEIL FINN, YEAR LONG DISASTER, XTC, early COSTELLO, U2,& more of that ilk, I also ADORE NEW ORLEANS DIXIELAND JAZZ, & big band swing, I like some old US rock til about 1967 (like the Beach Boys, Rascals,& a few later like Springsteen too ) but 'stuff I guess from 'round '60's to now in US ROCK music doesn't appeal - SOO.. N0O - Doors, Eagles, Gov't Mule, CSN, John Mayer, Black Crowes, etc played here! I DO MAKE A BIZARRE EXCEPTION FOR THE DEAD! Somewhere long ago I developed a genuine soft spot for them - really... but indeed "I know what I like" to quote Genesis & that's where I'm at! TA!
Books:
Dickens - really! But mostly Nonfiction - History, Nature and old esoteric books on the Universal ...also like the stodgy Victorians i.e Sherlock Holmes, Wilkie Collins (Moonstone) and the 2 Peters- Peter Carey and Peter Ackyrod. Also I like William Blake and early Yates.I like bios of everyone from Keith Moon to Glenn Miller etc. also SILLY HUMOUR books ie Terry Pratchett. & PYTHONS ONE AND ALL, too many books not enough time...

Great to find you...worked in any number of import record stores here in Sydney, (from late '76)...the Stones started me off as a kid, from there picked up on those Chess blues greats...love psych and garage bands too, tho by now I'm such a big fan of of Stevie's (he give's me goosebumps) Plonk's and Mac's...Love them to death, (still trying to look like them... )

Lovely you sent me your channel. How I loved Steve in the 60s, didnt under stand then why he vanishes, but country life was my choice then. What did he die of ,so young?

I'm an 18 year old growing up in Manor Park, Steve's hometown. Although the area has changed considerably since Steve's days, his musical remnants are still felt. Really nice page you made here!
