I'm a noob in Premiere and this helped me out. I wasn't doing the last step of adjusting the reduction amount. I have an audiotechnica Pro 24CM shoe mounted mic on my Cannon T2i. Apparently all mics have a bad hiss on my camera (problem with the T2i). This totally fixes it. Thanks!

actually, ATI has improved crossfirex with the latest round of cards. Xfire 6970s actually scale BETTER than 580's (scale, not total performance) at high resolutions with AA+AF. Just look at benchmarks. SLI might have been way better than crossfire in the past, but things change.
