@eastonbighitter I gotta agree with you. Exceed is cheap, and you get what you pay for. two weeks to get your stuff is lucky, lucky you even got to talk to someone. Most hobby shops and retailers that sell exceed do it reluctantly and when something breaks, they find a "useable replacement". HPI ...

I love the realistic bounce and tire collapse like a real monster truck. I get the same effect from my Losi Raminator Nitro, but it's not so user-friendly. I always wondered what the deal was with the Clodbuster.......well worth the watching.

So these days, I'm doing mostly rock crawling. The nitros are almost all put away in the basement as the winter air gels the fuel up before it makes it to the carbs. I have , however bought two new rc's:a Traxxas Stampede 4x4 vxl and an HPI mini-trophy desert truck. Traxxas= OH HELL YEAH!! Desert truck= well, I guess I found another place for a sidewinder by Castle Creations.The Stampede is everything it's said to be, and more. Alot of fun. One thing I don't like about it is the slipper clutch adjustment, but I can deal with that. The HPI 1/12 mtdt leaves alot to be desired. In order to put this mamba on it, you have to disassemble 85% of the chassis. HPI builds durable stuff, but the cages that make it that way are very inhibiting. Still, I got plenty of HPI's and besides that and the bad motor mount location on the rs3 g3.0 conversion....they're still 150% better than a Losi!
