Mike Ditka is soo overrated. Most people didn't know who he was until the Bears began to be successful. I've been a fan since the late 60's, and for the life of me, I never heard of him before the Bears started to rise in the mid-80's.

Look how much Ray aged in this fight. I the first round he looked 34 (his actual age), but by the end of the fight he looked more like 54. The same way Liston aged in the first Ali fight. Man, he really aged during the fight!

I don't believe Quarry would have been a champion in any era. He just wasn't good enough. He was and always will be a good contender. Same with Shavers, Bonavena, Bugner, Norton too.

Ali/Holmes, Tyson, Louis, L Lewis, Foreman, Frazier, Liston, Marciano. I don't think any HW before 1960 (except Louis) would be on the list. Just too small. I think as time goes by Holmes will climb up the list. And I don't think Holyfield would have beaten any all time great top 7 after 1960...
