Hello Daniel, I'm at the clearcoat curing stage, what amount of time do you recommend for the curing process? I've heard 1 to 4 weeks, is that feasible? Michael.

@tonygayter tony, when using red as a house painter as I am, grey is always used as the primer. Maybe that'll help with the pink.

did you prep the guitar prior to dipping???

MrDean, hope I'm not asking too many questions(thanks for responding to the others) but I was wondering if you've ever placed the guitar in the water first, then applied the paint to the surface, then pull the guitar up through it??? should have used a grey primer, the red would have come out better. Not so orangey. Looks good though.

Do you notice if any of the paint sinks right to the bottom??? Is my paint too heavy??

Did you use any paint removers for the original paint? Or did you just sand it down?

is it absolutely essential to take all the original paint off? why not lightly sand it, prime it, then swirl? Would that ruin it?
