reza. you say we need to pressure the british government into changing its foreign policy objectives. you need to come back down to earth and stop being so naive. Britain helped create israel and continues to fund it today. Its killed millions of mulsim men, women and children in iraq and afghanistan. it has a long colonial history in india and the middle east and continues to support dictators in arab states. Britain is part of the problem not the solution. How can i be proud to be British? MPAC... wake up and smell the coffee.. The British muslim organizations that claim to represent British muslims also need to get their facts straight on certain issues. Condemning British foriegn policy and saying we are always doing evil things is simply unfair and wrong.

Most Brtis were against the invasion of Iraq.. not just British Muslims, over 1 million Brits went to london to protest before the war began and tony blair became one of the most hated PMs in recent history.

However on afghanistan.. muslim lives there have IMPROVED compared to before. Unless you believe allah supports the suffering of women which is what happened under taliban rule.

You can be loyal to your country and religion. You can be proud to be British at the same time as condemning policies such as support for the illegal israeli occupation of Palestine. Recognise the fact Britain is trying to help bring peace to the region not kill muslims in some crusade.

All religions should be welcomed in the United Kingdom. Ive no problem at all if you believe in islam / Christianity or even believe starwars is real. However loyalty to ones country is important. Some muslims claim they get treated like outsiders and not British citizens, thats true.. sadly there are some arrogant and stupid people out there but they are not the majority. If British muslims stood up and spoke out more in defense of the union instead of muslims 100s of miles away perhaps there would be more support?

... when someone says, "islamist terrorists are the biggest threat to the UK today"- you shouldnt have to talk about Nazis or Russians being bigger "threats in the past" (as asghar did on sky)- that was long ago, and is barely relevant?!?!
The biggest threat to the UK at the moment, is its own foreign policy, end of story.. you cannot possibly massacre hundreds of thousands/ steal oil, without expecting a response of some sort (be it via mindless lunatics).

I realize its all very well for me to type a response on my pc, and its much harder in real life, but hope you get my drift!

I massively respect and appreciate what your doing, and feel there is a massive void in the muslim community with regards to political pro activity- we have unfortunately become a society of monks .

I sincerely don't mean to sound rude, but brother Asghar needs to brush up on his debating skills; war mongers and the rightwing media shouldn't have any legs to stand on in any debate- there is no justification of massacres like iraq/ afghanistan etc. (the likes of g.galloway/ norman finklestein/ robert fisk/ john rose etc etc literally eat right-wingers for breakfast)
